Throughout his sporting career, Coach Q was a National qualifying wrestler, All-State football player, recreational tennis player, participated in Taekwondo, and of course All-American track athlete.
Quinton is from Denver Colorado and is the Director and coach of AMATA Sports, an organization developed to help high school student-athletes navigate their way towards a college education through sport. Coach Q studied Communications at the University of Colorado, finishing as a Division 1 All-American and Big-12 All-Conference Team during his collegiate career. He also went on to compete post-collegiately, qualifying for USA National Championships, Oceania Area Championships and Australian National Championships. As a coach, Dodson has first-hand experience with elite athletes during his time coaching and managing the Olympic career of his brother Jeremy. Coach Q has had the privilege of learning from coaches like Dan Pfaff, Stuart McMillan, John Smith, Lance Brauman and many other leaders in the sport of Track & Field. He gained valuable knowledge from his time spent at several World Championships. He has used this knowledge to lead Lutheran High School to six (6) Colorado State team titles, Niwot High School to two (2) Colorado State team titles, as well as coached the Samoan National team at the World Championships. Outside of Track & Field, Dodson has led the training and recovery of NFL players Demaryius Thomas, Bennie Fowler, Juwan Thompson, Kalif Raymond, Marlon Brown and many others.
